Are you hot enough to handle the new Bar do Copa? This hedonists' heaven by the celebrated Copacabana Palace pool is Rio's coolest place to see and be seen. Join the local style setters, step onto the golden floor and let it lead you into a sizzling space where 10,000 fibre-optic lights shimmer like stars in a velvet-black night sky. 

Start off the evening with a cocktail that conjures up the hotel's Hollywood past. Imagine yourself starring in Flying Down to Rio as you sip a Fred Astaire martini made with bourbon and blackberry cream or a Ginger Rogers mix of gin, apricot and lime. The drop-dead glamorous retro feel is complemented by Bar do Copa's gold mosaic decoration, sputnik lamps and crystal chandeliers. 

There's space for 200 revellers to sit at tables or around the bar. But you won’t want to stay still. From Wednesday to Saturday a team of DJs sets the music spinning: it's time to get up onto the dance floor with Rio's party people and experience The Marvellous City full on.
